The Bious Waterfalls – France

Description

This was photographed in the French Pyrénées in La Vallée d’Ossau where each year I organise a series of photography workshops. This waterfalls is a little gem that too many fail to appreciate from the right angle. I am particularly fond of chiaroscuro in this scene where the shadows serve to empower the waterfalls. The vibrant green are well balanced by the orange tones of both the rocks and the dead leaves. This is undeniably one of my favourite spots in the region and I always make a point to visit with my students.
