Sunbeam on Lac Gentau – France

Description

This photograph was captured in the French Pyrénées at the heart of La Vallée d’Ossau where each year I organise a series of photography workshops. It was photographed not far from The Bious Waterfalls. What interested me in this scene was not only the magnificent view from the Ayous summit but the fact we can see the chalet where many stay for a night when trekking in the area and that building is ridiculously small in the grand scheme of things. This scene illustrates the insignificance of the human beings in this world we claim to own.

Limited edition, numbered & signed

This mounted photograph is only available in a limited edition of 10 copies. Each piece is numbered, signed and comes with a certificate of authenticity.

The paper

This photograph is printed on a 100% cotton museum-grade Fine Art Platinum 310gsm Canson paper offering the aesthetic and feel of the original F-Type Baryta Fibre paper, having a true pure white tone without using optical brighteners that are known to affect the longevity of digitally produced images. The surface finish is satin with a slight texture. This paper shows an excellent black density and exceptional grey tones which is perfect for the more discerning black and white as well as colour photographic prints.
