Shetland — Endurance is a 112-page bilingual fine art book (English/French) — a philosophical essay in six movements, born of a solo expedition to the Shetland archipelago in November 2025. Printed in high-quality four-colour lithography (quadri-chromie) on a 292 × 210 mm format, it is not a travelogue or a record of dramatic landscapes, but an inquiry into the sublime and humanity’s fragile, enduring relationship with nature.

Structured in three parts — Conditions, Extraction, Endurance — the book moves through Milieu, Adaptation, Extraction, Sedimentation, Rupture and Suspension, with Stratum offering a wordless visual pause before the closing essay, Resonance. Each photograph and passage sits within a single sustained meditation on what persists — geologically, ecologically, and within ourselves — under constraint.

This book stands as a companion piece to Venezia, extending the same commitment to slow, essayistic photography into a starker, more elemental register — from the nocturnal intimacy of a city to the raw exposure of Shetland, poised between the North Atlantic and the North Sea.
