Resilience Within the Gorge – Scotland

Description

Captured in late September in Puck’s Glen, Scotland, Resilience in the Gorge presents a temperate rainforest shaped by endurance, disturbance, and slow transformation. Twisting tree trunks stretch toward the light above the gorge, fallen trees lie across the stream after past storms, and a stone staircase quietly recedes into the vegetation.

At the margins, the presence of rhododendron introduces a more complex reading of resilience — one that thrives at the expense of the native ecosystem, subtly altering the balance of the forest.
