Along Scotland's western seaboard survives one of Europe's rarest habitats: Atlantic temperate rainforest, where near-constant rain feeds a world of moss, lichen and fern grown over centuries. This series moves through that world — through Puck's Glen, Ariundle, Glasdrum, Knapdale — not as a record of places, but as a study in endurance. Here a fallen oak sends new limbs skyward; a leaf of lungwort signals air still clean enough to breathe; and beneath the beauty runs a quieter tension, between the native woodland and the species — rhododendron, planted conifer — that would crowd it out. It is a forest holding on, and that holding-on is its subject.
