Day 5 in honour of the Isle of Skye with a great capture of The Black Cuillin from Elgol.

I invite you to see the Day 1, Day 2, Day3, Day 4 photographs if you have not yet:

This is the final photograph of the series was made last August during one of my photography workshops on the coastal path near Elgol. It is a rather popular location on the South West of the Isle due to its great view on the Cuillin just across the bay. This is almost the other side of the Cuillin seen in the Day 4 photograph. As often with landscape where mountain and ocean meet, the scene lacks clarity due to the haze. Here was no different and I must admit the monochrome development was undoubtedly the only option to give life to this photograph.

This capture was achieved with my Canon 24mm TS-E as a single shot. I used my Lee 105mm polarising filter and a combination of Neutral Density graduated filters to retrieve the sky.
